The Manitou Springs Heritage Museum is participating in the statewide Sesquisemiquincentennial anniversaries with an exhibit featuring First Amendment rights. The exhibit will feature a controversial collection of historical activist buttons, posters, images and ephemera representing our country’s right to Constitutional protections and expression under the First Amendment and cover:

 

 

 

  • Freedom of religion
  • Freedom of speech
  • Freedom of press
  • Freedom of assembly
  • Freedom of petition

We choose to acknowledge and recognize the struggles of all people, including minorities, who helped shape the United States and our state of Colorado. The exhibit opens July 3rd, with an end date to be announced.
