
The Manitou Springs Heritage Museum is excited to launch a new exhibit, “Women of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb“. Discover Loni Unser who continues to blaze the trail for her legendary racing family. Learn about pioneering women like Michelle Mouton, who paved the way for her female successors. See an authentic 1922 vintage race car.
Learn about these women’s racing stories and see our exciting race photos, including photos taken by Pulitzer Prize winner, Robert Jackson, and many others. Watch our collection of PPIHC videos including the award winning “The Ari Vatanen Climb Dance” and the “Vahsholtz Family-3 Generations of Racing to the Clouds.” Enjoy our Hill Climb artifacts and ephemera.
Join us opening night on “First Friday” June 5th with a reception and refreshments from 5-8pm, featuring the live music of Ophelia’s Fate. The exhibit will be showing from June 5th through June 22. And don’t miss our Watch Party on June 21st for the 104th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
