A&A Garage

The A&A Garage opened for business in 1950 at 517 Manitou Avenue where the Manitou Springs Heritage Center and Museum currently resides. It was called A&A because the business was owned by William Alexander and his wife Sue Alexander. A&A Garage offered vehicle maintenance and towing services. This exhibit honors the A&A Garage through images and key artifacts which were left in the building when the couple sold the business in 1971.

The exhibit features 2 key pieces of 1950’s automotive equipment—an Allen Distributor Tester and a DeVilbiss Air Pressure regulator.

Also learn about the incredible journey of one of the wrecker tow trucks owned by the A&A Garage and it’s amazing renovation by a Swedish truck restoration enthusiast.
