Nick Sanborn 1958 Winner Pontiac No. 99

The Pikes Peak Auto Hill Climb originally started by Spencer Penrose in 1916 has now been running for over 100 years. This presentation will look at how the race has changed over time, how the course has changed, how safety measures evolved and how the cars, divisions and classes changed to encompass new technology and respond to changing road conditions. Hear the humorous and serious stories about the Hill Climb that only Mr. Sanborn can tell.

Don Sanborn is the current President of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb Historical Association (Over the Hill Gang) and member of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb Museum Committee. Don, his father, Frank Sanborn, and his Uncle Nick Sanborn have all raced in the Hill Climb.
