Kevin Abney, Board Treasurer
Kevin was elected to the Board of Historic Manitou Springs, Inc. in 2010 and appointed to the position of Treasurer. He previously served on the board of the Bed and Breakfast Innkeepers of Colorado on the state level and the Bed and Breakfasts of the Pikes Peak Region on the local level. Kevin operated a Manitou Springs Bed & Breakfast until 2009 called The Avenue Hotel. Kevin is a former member of the City’s Historic Preservation Commission and now owns a small home in Manitou Springs.

I am passionate about preserving and sharing the rich history of Colorado, especially the unique stories that shape communities like Manitou Springs. My academic background, as well as a lifelong love of historical artifacts and the personal connections they represent, inspires my commitment to thoughtful stewardship. I believe this museum plays a vital role in connecting past and present, as well as offering easily accessible history and knowledge. I am honored to support the Manitou Springs Museum’s mission and community impact.
