“The Packy the Packrat Puppet Show”••Puppet Series Showing each Wednesday in September

The Manitou Springs Heritage Center and Museum and the Pikes Peak Library District (Manitou Springs Branch) are pleased to present “The Packy Puppet Show”. The production is inspired by the book, “Packy Climbs Pikes Peak” written by locally renowned author, Maud M. Keithley. Past president of the National League of American Penwomen and recipient of many writing awards throughout the United States, Mrs. Keithley wrote a series of children’s books educating the youth on Colorado’s most notable natural landmarks and its wildlife. Join Packy the Packrat on his journey to the summit of Pikes Peak with his mother, Neotoma, and learn about the habits of packrats with the accompaniment of cute puppets!

The first showing will be held on September 7 at the Manitou Springs Public Library (515 Manitou Avenue) from 10:30 to 11:30 am and will follow Packy’s earliest adventures on Pikes Peak. Packy’s story continues at the Manitou Springs Heritage Center (517 Manitou Avenue) every Wednesday on September 14, 21 and 28 starting at 10:30am. All shows are free for all ages and include a free Packy-themed activity book for you to take home.

After the show, visit the Manitou Springs Heritage Center and Museum 517 Manitou Avenue Manitou Springs, Colorado 80829.
