Join us for a presentation by local Manitou Springs artist Jared Thompson on Saturday November 11th at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Thompson will be explaining the creative process of bringing the latest Manitou Springs Heritage Center Jigsaw Puzzle to life. This presentation will include a detailed picture sideshow of the artwork throughout its development. Thompson will speak about the methods of merging the use of acrylic and watercolor painting, photography, and digital graphics to create the final product. He will also be addressing the importance of knowing the town, trails and mountains from first hand experience to help guide the creative process.
Thompson has lived in Manitou Springs since 2014 and has volunteered his time as an artist and photographer on numerous occasions with the Manitou Springs Heritage Center, the Chamber of Commerce, and local businesses. He is an avid trail runner, a musician, expert dog walker, family man, and a true lover of the community of Manitou Springs.
