DESCRIPTION:The Manitou Rails! exhibit explains the role railroads have played in the development of our town’s history through our presentation of images\, artifacts and video. Learn about the five railroads that served our town including Manitou’s Lost Railroad and the railroads that helped build the West. The Denver & Rio Grande Railway with its Manitou Spur and the Colorado Midland Railway brought tourists from all over the country to visit Manitou Springs.
