PPLD Program: “Ute Indian Prayer Trees of the Pikes Peak Region” presented by John Anderson

The Pikes Peak Library District presents local author and historian, John Anderson, and his slide presentation, “Ute Indian Prayer Trees of the Pikes Peak Region”. The Manitou Springs Heritage Center is proud to host this presentation about the cultural and historical significance of the Ute Prayer Trees found in the Pikes Peak region. These Culturally Modified Trees are believed to have been cultivated between 150-450 years ago, and they are found throughout Colorado. Mr. Anderson will also provide information on where you can see these trees in the Colorado Springs area.
